The Somerset Hotel

The hotel staff was very warm and helpful. Unais from the front desk was especially welcoming and often took the initiative to converse with us and to offer valuable suggestions. We also liked that there was room service. Many boutique hotels or smaller hotels do not provide room service anymore. It was a convenience we really appreciated after an exhausting day of snorkelling. Bonus - food was tasty and reasonably priced!

Great hotel located very close to centre, museum. Very clean, staff was great, friendly and willing to help with all our requirements( transfers, early check in...etc) The food was amazing. We had half board and really enjoyed the breakfast ( large variety of local and continental food), and the dinner was amazing , well cooked and served. I highly recommend this hotel if you stop in Male.

Great choice for food and quieter night away from traffic and good airport transfer. We were greeted after clearing customs (very quick) and collecting bags and shared with one other traveller. Room was quiet and dark for sleeping and a nice breakfast and dinner in the restaurant attached. The staff are so friendly and the whole hotel was clean.

Clean and modern hotel. Great bathroom, shower and facilities. The place was quiet and had a generally calming atmosphere. Airport pickup was a breeze. Staff were very helpful and kind at all times throughout our stay. They gave us a 'welcome drink' of lemon tea when we arrived (so good after a long day of travel). I highly recommend the Belle Amie Bistro next door - excellent breakfast and dinner there! Good location in Male City. Plenty of shopping around if that is your thing. I would stay here again!

I booked the Hotel at the last Moment and could hardly communicate my travel details. But on arrival at Male Airport found the Hotel Pick up waiting with a smile and the staff very professional . The check in was very smooth and the rooms large. Our Tour was going nice but in the Night after coming from tour my son got Sick and started vomiting continuously. Not Knowing much about the country we arrived we thought if we can get some Medicine from Pharmacy we called the reception & told about his condition. To my utter surprise the Hotel immediately arranged a cab and a Staff (sorry forgot his name) accompanied me to the Hospital. Test were done, medication Provided and his condition monitored for quite some time before release. His condition improved by next day and we left for Our Home. We are thankful to the entire staff and the Hotel Management for this Humane approach in this Professional Field. My special Thanks to Mr Ganeshan (GM - The Somerset Hotel ) as he kept on monitoring till very late at night and allowed us a late checkout without charging anything extra. They ensured our Tour ended Nicely and we left with a smile back home and with nice memories. Will definitely choose this Hotel Again. The Room service and the Breakfast was excellent with a variety of options. Thanks The Somerset Hotel once Again.
